Welcome to PriceBoost - Bulk Price Editor ("PriceBoost," "we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Shopify application ("App") and related services.

By installing or using PriceBoost, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you install and use PriceBoost, we collect the following information:

  • Shopify Store Information: Store name, store URL (myshopify.com domain), and store configuration details.
  • Account Information: Shop owner or staff name, email address, locale, and account status, obtained via Shopify OAuth authentication.
  • Pricing Configuration: The pricing rules, adjustment values, and bulk editing actions you configure within the App.

2.2 Data Generated Through Use of the App

To provide our core bulk pricing features, we process and store:

  • Product and Variant Data: Product IDs, variant IDs, product and variant titles, and current pricing, read from your Shopify catalog via the read_products scope.
  • Price Change History: A record of every price adjustment made through the App, including the old price, new price, adjustment type and value, the product/variant affected, and the timestamp of the change, so you can review and, where supported, revert bulk edits.
  • Subscription and Usage Data: Your current plan, billing status, usage counts against your plan's limits, and the number of unique products modified during a billing period.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use PriceBoost:

  • Session Data: Shopify access tokens and session identifiers required to authenticate API requests to your store.
  • Log Data: Access times, features used, and diagnostic data such as error logs.

2.4 Data From Shopify

As a Shopify-embedded app, we receive data directly from the Shopify platform (via the Shopify Admin API and webhooks) to the extent necessary to operate the App, including product catalog data, store details, and billing/subscription events.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide Services: To operate the App, read your product catalog, apply the bulk price changes you request, and maintain a history of those changes.
  • Billing and Subscription Management: To manage your subscription plan, enforce plan usage limits, and process payments through Shopify Billing.
  • Improve Our App: To analyze usage patterns, identify bugs, and develop new features.
  • Communication: To send service-related notifications, updates, and support messages.
  • Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, including Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks, and to enforce our agreements.
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, unauthorized access, and other potentially harmful activity.

These service providers are bound by contractual obligations to keep your information confidential and to use it only for the purposes we specify.

4.2 Shopify Platform
