How much do I actually earn?
30% of what Ecopy is paid by the merchant you referred, every billing cycle, for as long as their subscription stays active. On the Premium plan ($19.99/mo) that’s $6.00 every month per store — $4.80 the first month, since your audience gets a discount with your code — and $57.57 when a store pays for a full year.
How long does the commission last?
For the entire lifetime of the subscription — there’s no 12-month cutoff. If they cancel and come back, that’s still attributed to you: a referral is tied to their store permanently.
When is a commission confirmed?
Ecopy plans start with a free trial, and Shopify only bills the store once it ends. Your commission appears as soon as the store subscribes with your code, and is validated once Shopify has actually paid that charge out to us. If the store cancels during its trial, Shopify never charges it, so there is nothing to share and that commission is voided. Every status is visible in your dashboard.
How and when do I get paid?
Via PayPal, once your validated balance reaches $50. Add your PayPal email in your dashboard settings; payouts are sent monthly.
Can I choose my own code?
Yes — you pick it when you sign up: your first name, your brand or your channel (4–20 letters, numbers or dashes). Your share link becomes ecopy.app/go/YOURCODE.
Can I refer myself to get the discount?
No — a store can’t use its own affiliate code. Merchants who are also affiliates can still refer other stores normally.
